For this project I was instructed to make a japanese notan out of black and white paper. I started this process by writing out some ideas of what I would want to create.
I then produced two roughs for each of my favorite ideas, hot air balloons, birds eating a worm, a face, and monkeys in trees.
I ended up going with the second face sketch for the final notan, which I think came out nice. The entire final was comprised of black and white paper as instructed.
